As long as I can remember I have always gone by my middle name, Tyler. My legal name is Phillip but that’s my dad’s name, not mine. I can’t ever remember a time where my parents introduced me as Phillip. I’ve even asked my parents why they decided to name me Phillip and they honestly don’t know either. Everybody I know calls me Tyler. My parents, friends and teachers have always known me as Tyler. Yet every year I have to go through a new set of teachers who have Phillip on their class list and I have to correct them until they get used to calling me Tyler. So now I have decided to change my name. My first name will now be Tyler but I have yet to decide what my middle name will be. That’s where YOU come in!
