PROJECT PM
Project P.M. is an after school program which offers a variety of reading and math activities as well as art, homework help and organized recreational games. Project P.M. is funded through an Oregon 21st Century Grant and Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital. We will be working to improve math and reading scores while providing a fun and safe environment for children after school.
There will be one certified teacher and two full time instructional assistants at each grade level to help your child as well as numerous members from the community teaching educational games, craft projects, sports, health and nutrition. Tuesday and Thursday sessions will focus on in-class, academic activities while Wednesdays will be primarily enrichment activities, such as guest presenters from OMSI.
ALL students grades K-5 will meet Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:15-4:45. Any day there is no school or an early release, we will not have Project P.M. Snacks and bus transportation home will be provided.
Thanks to additional funding, we will be able to offer more activities to more students and their families through Project PM. New this year is "Project AM" which will provide quiet activities from 7:00-7:30 AM Monday through Friday in the cafeteria. Your child must be enroll ed in and attend Project PM to participate in the morning program. In addition, we will be opening the school from 6:00-8:00 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays for Adult ESL, library and computer use for Project PM families. Childcare is provided at all of our evening classes. Project PM is also providing a computer, located in the front lobby, for our families to use during regular school hours.
