Mock Trial at CHS begins in late October and runs through February. Meetings are held weekly right after school and bi-weekly as we get closer to district competition.

Mock Trial is a great way to learn about the legal system, have fun "acting" as a lawyer, witness, or bailiff, and compete with students from other schools. Students gain first-hand knowledge of our judicial system and enhance their skills through hands-on activities in public speaking, research, and critical thinking. Local district competitions are held and then the top twenty teams compete in the final competition held in Olympia, Washington. Real judges preside over the trial and practicing attorneys critique and score student performances.
