Welcome to the White Salmon Valley School District Website. I hope you are able to locate the information for which you are searching today. We are constantly trying to improve our services to our students, their parents, and the entire community. This website hopefully gives you some insight into our school district. Our students, staff, and patrons have a tremendous amount of pride in our school system. We encourage you to join in the pride of being a Columbia High School "Bruin", a Henkle Middle School "Grizzly", or a Whitson Elementary School "Cub". We are extremely proud of all our "Bears".

Superintendent Dale Palmer: Biographical information

I have had the great fortune of being a staff member of the White Salmon Valley School District since August of 1978, and have served in many positions.

I have been a teacher at Henkle Middle School and Columbia High School teaching special education, mathematics, and physical education. I have coached middle school football, junior varsity baseball, junior varsity boy's basketball, and was the varsity girl's basketball coach for 5 years.

I was the vice principal at Columbia High School for 3 years, was the assistant principal of Henkle Middle School for 3 years, and served as principal of Whitson Elementary School for 9 years.
